The PTA brings together parents, teachers and others to raise money and to support the school. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal. All parents and teachers can get involved even if they only have a small amount of time available. Whatever you are able to offer, the school will benefit from the additional funds it will raise and the increased opportunity for parents to be more involved in school life.

Anyone who is a parent or registered carer of a child at Burlington Danes Academy, or a teacher or Learning Support Assistant can join the PTA.
The first step is to express your interest by contacting the school. Early in September a meetings schedule will be published and sent out to all those parents and teachers who registered. The first few meetings are likely to be very informal. Later on in the year a Chair and Vice-Chair will need to be decided upon.
Initially, you may only be expressing your interest for more involvement. Next year there will be a more formal meetings schedule which may mean one meeting for a couple of hours once per half term. That’s about once every six or seven weeks.
