Illegal dogs
In England and Wales dogs have to be insured against them attacking someone. This is an attempt to try to decrease the number of dangerous dogs. Now the police and the local authorities have the right to ask owners of dangerous dogs to be muzzled.
This will stop endangering local citizens. We spoke to a girl named Jollie, she said ‘I think that just because I have got a dog that looks dangerous it does not mean it is. If any policemen tell me that I have to muzzle my dog I will just have to because that’s the new law’.
There are a great number of people that are admitted to hospital every week because of an attack from dangerous dogs. There has also been a massive increase in dog fighting and illegal ownership.
Now hopefully because of the insurance many more people will feel comfortable and not feel threatened by other citizen’s dogs.
