During the last 2 years our facilities have been transformed. In November 2008 we unveiled our Stanley Fink Building, providing a first class learning space for English, Maths and Science, as well as a tutor base for our Key Stage 3 students. If you get the chance you must come and see the atria at each end of the building - spacious, semi-circular halls with triple-height floor to ceiling windows! The atria have provided a wonderful backdrop to concerts, assemblies and careers days.
The all-weather table tennis and table football equipment has been in place for 2 years now, with some serious talent developing along the way. The increasingly rapid ping and pong of balls being hit across the table is now a standard feature of break times at BDA, while after school staff and students engage in friendly rivalry across the nets.
Later in 2010 our Performing Arts and Sixth Form Centre will be complete, providing a 300-seat theatre and state of the art recording facilities, as well as a home for our new Sixth Form, which opened in September 2009. We have also taken ownership of our restaurant from the local borough, and our Utopia cafe is now open throughout the day, offering healthy, tasty and good value nourishment to students and staff.
These wonderful facilities, not to mention the biggest school playing field in central London, provide us with a unique space in which students can thrive.
