Ethos

“Burlington Danes is characterised by high expectations for achievement and behaviour.”

Our vision

We believe in the potential of every young person who attends Burlington Danes Academy. Through our vision of "Achieving through Belief" we are striving to create a school which gives every child the best start in life.

High expectations

We are determined that each of our students will make sufficient progress to have real choices when they finish school: to go on to further and higher education or to pursue the career of their choice.
To do this they need a high level of skills, a strong work ethic and confidence in themselves. Our school has high expectations for academic achievement and a strong culture of courteous conduct.
The quality of teaching in the classroom is as important as the quality of our students' work.

Support for the whole child: academic, social and emotional

We are committed to providing an excellent education for all children in our West London community. We do this through rigorous and engaging classes as well as providing a variety of learning experiences outside the school. We expose our students to the range of opportunities that life has to offer. We have created a nurturing environment that supports the personal development of each student and ensures that every child is cared for.

Part of a network of schools

Burlington Danes Academy is part of the ARK network of schools and benefits from the resources and expertise that this network brings. We also maintain a close connection to other local schools, the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the Diocese of London.

Our religious character

We provide a religious education and collective worship in accordance with the tenets of the Church of England. We are committed to educating students of the Christian faith, students who belong to other faiths and students who subscribe to no faith.
