BDA Students Publish Poetry Anthology

BDA students have published an anthology of their very own poems.  The collection, called Firewords, was officially released in the Dennis Potter Theatre last week, with students reading out their poems in front of a packed crowd of parents and teachers.

Head of Media Studies, Ms Davies, who edited the collection said: "we were overwhelmed by the number and quality of poems that we received from students, leaving Ms Hagger and I the difficult task of shortlisting the best."  Meanwhile English teacher Ms Hagger said:  "we want our students to realise that studying English is about experimenting with the language, rather than just reading what other people have written."

The finished anthology is available from reception for £3.
