Our mission: To create a thriving learning community which enriches the unique strengths, interests and ambitions of every student.
Following two years of preparation our Sixth Form opened its doors in September 2009, with 100 students enrolling, far exceeding our target figure. Students have been attracted by a Sixth Form small enough to ensure personalised support and guidance for every student, yet big enough to offer a wide range of courses – in our first year we are running 20 AS Levels, alongside 4 BTEC Nationals.

Facilities and resources
Our purpose built Performing Arts and Sixth Form Centre (opening early 2010) provides a state of the art learning space exclusively for our Sixth Form. Substantial investment in ICT means that students enjoy free access to PCs and Apple Macs.
Courses
We will offer a range of traditional A level courses which will enable students to compete for places at top universities. We also offer BTEC National courses in Business Studies, ICT, Health & Social Care and Travel & Tourism.
Enrichment
Within one month of opening students from BDA Sixth Form had attended a theatre in Greenwich, a Medicine open day at Imperial College and a team-building weekend in Sussex. We know that students need to prove more than just academic ability when they apply for university, and we are committed to providing opportunities for this.
Entry requirements
To study A levels students will need to gain five A*-C grades in their GCSEs, including English and Mathematics. Students are also expected to have gained a B at GCSE in any subject that they wish to take at AS Level.
